How to Retrofit Seat Belts - Shoulder Anchor Point

Complete step by step instructions, including diagrams for retrofitting Wesco 3 point seat belts by creating a shoulder anchor point using our #10154 mounting plate when no shoulder mounting point is present in your older vintage car, classic car, hotrod etc.

These instructions apply only to retrofit seatbelts from Wesco.

These instructions are not to be used for 3 point seat belts for sale from other manufacturers or retailers. CAUTION: Read these instructions for retrofitting seatbelts thoroughly before beginning the retrofitting process and installing the safety harness.



3 Point Seat Belts Retrofitting
#10154 Mounting Plate
Outside Dimension: 1¼" x 3"

First: First determine if your vehicle has:

  A. A Door Post That Extends Above the Bottom of the Side Window.

If your vehicle fits the description in Figure A. above, then Click Here for Installation Instructions.

     B. Or if the Door Post Stops at Bottom of Side Window (most passenger cars older than 1972 and any convertible car).
