How to Create a Zip / Compressed File

How to Create a Zip / Compressed File

Below are instructions to create a zip/compressed file for your logo artwork files when using Windows 10, Mac, Android, or iPhone. The best first step is to put all and only the logo image files (photos/artwork) into one folder on the device that you're using. Then follow your device instructions below to compress/zip that folder (or files inside).

After Creating the Zip File email it to: info@wescoperformance.com

    Windows 10

    1. Locate the file or folder that you want to zip.
    2. Press and hold (or right-click) the folder that contains your logo photos/files, and select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location.

    Mac

    1. Control-click it or tap using two fingers the folder that contains your photos/files.
    2. Then choose Compress from the shortcut menu.
If you compress a single item, the compressed file has the name of the original item with the .zip extension. If you compress multiple items at once, the compressed file is called Archive.

    Android

    1. Open the File Manager or My Files app and move all the photos you want to compress to a single folder in Internal Storage.
    2. Tap on the three dots in the right-hand corner Edit. Select all the items you want to zip.
    3. At the bottom tap Compress or at the bottom tap More, then Compress.
4.Then select Save or Compress again and a new Zip folder will be created with the compressed files/photos inside. The Zip Folder icon usually has a zipper on it and the name ends in .zip.

    iPhone

    1. Open the Files app, then choose a location like On My iPhone or iCloud Drive.
    2. Tap the More button, then tap Select. Choose/select the folder or one or more files.
    3. Tap the More button in the lower right, then tap Compress.
