Great belts
December 8, 2025
We have a 74 caprice as a weekend cruiser. A few years ago we installed these 3 point belts in the rear so we could haul the grand kids safely. They moved after covid and the belts went generally unused and tucked in the edges out of seat. Last week my husband was taking my brother for a ride and i was in the back. I mentioned that i felt a bit uncomfortable in the back. My husband suggested i buckle up after he went through the effort to install belts. I dug around and got the belts out. It took me a few minutes adjust and fasten it but once i had it on it felt very comfortable and safe.
Install them and wear them
November 18, 2025
My husband installed a pair of there in a rebuilt 1960 Ford truck last year. He also installed a bench seat with head rests. We wore them on the first trip to a car show and then fastened them neatly on the seat. On the way home i slid in to the center to sit next to my husband. Afterwards the belts remained buckled on the seat with us sitting on top of them. On a couple of rides i mentioned that is was foolish to have seatbelts and not wear them but made no attempt to buckle up. Last week we got on the highway and traffic was crazy and it was raining. I decided to do up my belt. It took me a few minutes to get it adjusted since i had a heavy rain coat on. . My husband saw me buckle up and got his on as well (his was actually adjusted because he has worn it a few times). They give you somewhat of an old school feel with more safety than the original old school lap only belt. Hard to have any complaints. A car cut us off not long after and we had a panic stop. The belts held tight and felt very safe.
Great basic belts

My husband is generally anti-belt in the classic cars. However i will not ride if there are no belts. He recently redid a 1952 gmc truck. On the first time out I refused to go since it lacked belts. Upon my insistence he installed 2 sets of the non retractable 3 point belts. I will now ride anywhere. I love the fact that these belts hold you tight if you snug them up. My husband wears his loosely if i am out with him and rarely wears it when he is alone. We did have a panic stop the other day and he mentioned he was glad he had buckled up and snuged the belts up afterwards.

3 point non-retractable seatbelts

These are nice. They give you somewhat of an old school feel with more safety than the original old school lap belt, shoulder belt system. Hard to have any complaints. Nice to have an option where you wouldn't have to drill new holes for the extra safety. I do wish they could make one with exted shoulder sash for coupes, and vans.

Good belt, shipping questionable
June 11, 2020
The belts are well made, good quality. Unfortunately, caused by Corona issues, the expensive intl' express shipping from USPS took almost 2 months. The car - a 1989 Caterham Super Seven - had to be reassembled, with the old belts, before the new belts arrived. Will take many hours to get the seats out and in again.

Worked for Model A coupe
June 4, 2019
I installed these in a '29 Model A coupe and they work great. I used a 12" extender to route through the back of the cabin to a mounting point in the trunk, but other folks may not need that. I used the bench seat style and then wrapped the buckle end around the flat steel mounting point to shorten the length. They look like they came this way from the factory. Very pleased.

My wife belts up every time she is in the cart. My boys on the other hand i dont think have ever worn them. My wife says they hold very tight and is glad we have them

Afe belt
December 30, 2018
I installed a pair of there in a rebuilt 1962 chevy truck at the insistence of my exwife who was safety conscious after she had me install a bench seat with head rests after she was gone the belts went behind the seat. Last week my new girlfriend was out on a date with me. I noticed her fumbling with the belt. After a moment she said ?oh I guess you dont use these? since i felt bad for her and wanted to make a good impression I pulled over and liberated the female ends of the buckls from behind the seat so we could both belt up. The belts held tight and felt very safe.

Very safe belts
March 21, 2018
My husband has a street legal dune buggy and it had two broken unusable seatbelts which he refused to replace because there was no roll bar. A few months ago he installed a roll bar but had still not replaced the seatbelts. I bought two of these for him to install. He was pleased with the belts and said the installed very easily. I was happy to finally have a useable seat belt. At first he kept the drivers belt buckled behind him. However after a near miss where i was firmly belted in and did not move and he almost flew out he started wearing his belt as well.
