3 point seat belt with anchor point above the side window.
This is a special 3-point (both lap belt and shoulder restraint) retractable seat belt with an (8 inch long)long sash guide for the conversion van application where the shoulder sash guide anchor attachment is higher (usually attaches above the side window) than a normal passenger car configuration.
  • This belt has a longer sash guide to lower the shoulder strap so that it aligns properly with the occupant's neck/shoulder.

    quick and easy

    Have installed the driver side on a 70 cougar, took about 20 minutes using the factory holes for the seat belts, the only thing you have to do is drill a hole for the retractor and that was simple. The retractor mount is 90* if it was 120-135* for my car it would let it sit a bit more natural, I might build my own bracket to get the fit perfect.

    Datsun 240Z Seat Belt Upgrade

    The 2 seat belts I replaced only retracted on the lap belt. These seat belts now retract not only the lap belt but also the shoulder belt. They work very well after I made some adapters from steel to have the base retractor not to be behind the seat so it would not inhibit the seat rear adjustment. Also The cover for the upper anchor would not completely stay in place over the anchor and would slip down and put friction on the belt not allowing it to retract all the way so I left it off. The cover was just too big and soft and did not clip in place. Otherwise, I would have given these belts an Excellent rating instead of Good.
